Dream Compassioneers Team from Hong Kong Visits CCAFO Projects in Kampong Speu

We were honored to welcome a team from Dream Compassioneers, an international volunteering initiative based in Hong Kong, to our education programs in Kampong Speu Province.  During their visit, the team engaged directly with both our community preschool students and English language learners, offering interactive teaching sessions and valuable cross-cultural experiences.

The visit began at a community preschool, where the team joined the children in fun, interactive activities. These included group games and creative exercises that encouraged teamwork, communication, and early learning skills.  The preschoolers enjoyed the energy and personal attention from the visiting volunteers, which created a lively and engaging atmosphere.

The team then continued to the Motherland Cambodia Education Center (MLC).  The MLC has been implementing the English Language Project, which offers a variety of programs including English language courses, Khmer language supplementary courses, school gardening, basic STEM activities, school meals, library access, basic oral health care, home-based teaching, and student transportation. At the MLC, the volunteers took part in classroom activities, assisted students with English practice, and worked with them on interactive and hands-on learning tasks.

These activities helped improve language skills, foster creativity, and build confidence among students of all ages.  The visit was coordinated by Mr. Rithy Chandara, CCAFO’s Education Manager and English Language Project Manager, who ensured the program was well organized and impactful.

The CCAFO project was initiated by Hui Kwai Yan (Sibyl), Fundraiser and Volunteer, whose commitment and support made this visit possible.

We sincerely appreciate the dedication and partnership of Dream Compassioneers.  Their involvement brought energy, inspiration, and new opportunities for our students, while strengthening our shared commitment to education and youth development in Cambodia.
