Project Statement:  The Scholarship and Humanitarian Assistance:

Project is designed to support vulnerable individuals and youth in Cambodia by addressing both long-term educational opportunities and urgent humanitarian needs. Funded by the iHerb Charitable Foundation (iCF), the project provides university scholarships to disadvantaged students, covering tuition fees and essential study tools such as individual or group-use laptops to help them pursue higher education.

In addition, the project delivers Direct Assistance to vulnerable individuals and families, particularly single mothers, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and those facing severe economic hardship.  This includes the provision of basic food supplies and small cash grants to help cover critical needs such as medical treatment, surgery, or other emergency expenses.

By combining educational support with essential humanitarian aid, the project aims to promote both immediate relief and long-term opportunity for those most in need.

Support from iHerb Charitable Foundation for Kavet Minority University Students

The iHerb Charitable Foundation (iCF) has generously provided scholarship support for 13 Kavet minority students currently pursuing higher education at Build Bright University in Ratanakiri Province.  The Kavet, one of Cambodia’s most underserved indigenous communities, often lack the financial means to attend university.

Through this support, iCF is covering essential costs such as tuition fees, helping to ease the financial burden and give these students a fair chance to complete their studies. These young people are working toward degrees that will allow them to contribute to the well-being of their families.

This initiative reflects iCF’s strong commitment to educational equity and the empowerment of indigenous youth through access to higher learning.

Laptop Support from iHerb Charitable Foundation for Kavet Minority University Students

The iHerb Charitable Foundation (iCF) has provided laptops to support 13 Kavet minority university students currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Build Bright University in Ratanakiri Province.

The laptops were supplied by iCF to help the students practice and strengthen their learning. They are stored and used in a computer classroom that is owned and managed by Anne Thomas, Education Advisor of the Non-Timber Forest Products project. The classroom provides a safe and structured environment for students to access digital tools, complete assignments, and build essential computer skills.

This support enhances the students’ ability to apply what they learn and prepares them for future opportunities.
