Nory Channy is a dedicated English language teacher at the Motherland Cambodia Education Centre. Despite being physically disabled and facing several challenges, he is determined to provide quality education to his students. However, transportation has been a significant hurdle for Channy, making it difficult for him to commute to and from work. Grateful for the life-changing opportunities that the education centre offers, Channy has had to make sacrifices to overcome these transportation challenges. Fortunately, his dedication and hard work have caught the attention of Mrs. Veronika Geyer, the Charity Coordinator of iHerb Charitable Foundation. Moved by Channy's story, Mrs. Geyer generously granted him a motor tricycle to ease his transportation needs. With this mode of transportation, Channy can devote his energy to his teaching job and have more time to focus on his lesson plans, providing his students with an excellent education. The iHerb Charitable Foundation is proud to support individuals like Channy, who inspire hope and perseverance in others.
Nory Channy's mother is currently residing in a humble abode without any property to call her own. Despite their circumstances, the family of three remains a close-knit unit, comprised of Nory Channy, his younger brother, and their mother who is a widow. The matriarch of the family is considerably advanced in years and currently inhabits her sister's dwelling. Despite her age and limitations, she consistently provides support for her youngest son who earns a living by selling ice. When the mother was informed of the generous donor’s support, she was filled with immense gratitude and wished the donor continued health and prosperity. Channy also expressed how much he misses his caring and loving father who passed away when his youngest brother was only a few months old.
