Stories of Change
Behind every classroom and every smile is a story of hope. Here, we share the journeys of children and families whose lives have been touched by education through CCAFO’s programs. Each story reflects the power of learning to open doors, strengthen communities, and build brighter futures. From preschool classrooms to English language centers, these stories remind us why every act of support matters. 🌱
A Brother’s Hope — Meet Hng Vanlik (ហង្ស វ៉ាន់លិ) 🙏
Every morning, twelve-year-old Hng Vanlik rides his bicycle to the Motherland Cambodia Education Center (MLC) with his little sister Hng Dalin by his side. He began his English journey on 21 October 2024, starting in English for Beginners and now proudly continues in English for Children, Volume 2, a higher level. Vanlik and his family live in the same community where MLC operates. Though still young, he shows quiet determination, never missing a class and always opening his book with focus and curiosity. His sister often sits beside him, watching her brother read new words and practice pronunciation. For Vanlik, learning English means more than lessons and notebooks. It is a doorway to opportunity, a chance to communicate, explore, and one day build a better life for himself and his family.
His story reminds us that when education reaches even one child, it can touch an entire family. This story is shared with the kind permission of his parents for posting on the CCAFO website 🌱
