Community Preschool Training in Kampong Laeng District
On September 1, 2025, CCAFO, in collaboration with the Office of Education, Youth and Sport of Kampong Laeng District and the Kampong Chhnang Provincial Education, Youth and Sport Department, launched a 35-day Community Preschool Teachers Training consisting of 7 modules: Module 1: September 1–5; Module 2: September 11–15; Module 3: September 25–29; Module 4: October 1–5; Module 5: October 7–11; Module 6: October 13–17 and Module 7: October 20–24.
The program brings together 21 participants (preschool teachers), including returning teachers eager to strengthen their skills in classroom administration and the five core preschool subjects: Language, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, and Gross Motor Development.
On September 5–6, 2025, 9 commune heads, 8 commune clerks, 2 officials from the District Governor’s Office, and 9 representatives of the Commune Committee for Women and Children took part in a two-day training on community preschool management and sustainability. During the sessions, participants applied their knowledge to identify challenges, assess needs, and propose solutions, resulting in a primary action plan to sustain community preschool projects.
By mid-September, the 21 preschool teachers had completed Modules 1 and 2, and they are scheduled to finish Module 3 by the end of the month (September 2025).
This initiative is made possible through the generous support of Grapes for Humanity Canada and iHerb, who are helping to strengthen the foundation of early childhood education in Cambodia.
